Shazia Imam

I am a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Queensland- IIT Delhi Academy of Research. I am based at the School of Public Policy at IIT Delhi and Sustainable Minerals Institute's Centre of Social responsibility in Mining. My work is focused on Just transitions in coal and I am trying to assess the impact of coal mine closures on mining communities and districts in India and Australia. I previously contributed to BOOM as a researcher working on misinformation in India. I have done a master's in Economics from Jamia Millia Islamia and a bachelor's in Economics with Mathematics and Statistics from Aligarh Muslim University, India.
